SUSTAINABLE BY DESIGN: 100% RENEWABLE COIR
Empowering commercial horticulture to phase out mined sphagnum peat bogs. By upcycling post-harvest organic coconut husks into high-performance growing substrates, Coco Craft Exports champions biodiversity, water recycling, and zero-waste agriculture.
SPHAGNUM PEAT REPLACEMENT IMPACT
Every 40' container of Coco Craft substrates prevents the strip-mining of irreplaceable European and North American peatland ecosystems. Drag the slider to simulate your agricultural footprint:
REGENERATIVE AGRONOMIC PRINCIPLES
Our commitment extends from local water stewardship in Pollachi to international environmental certification.
Peat Bog Preservation
Sphagnum peat bogs store billions of tons of carbon and take millennia to replenish. Coir replaces extracted moss with an annually harvested coconut byproduct without habitat destruction.
100% Upcycled Waste
Rather than allowing coconut husks to decompose as field waste or be incinerated, our facility upcycles 100% of raw husk volume into high-value horticultural substrates and fibre products.
Closed-Loop Water
Desalination wash water is routed through multi-stage concrete sedimentation settling ponds. Suspended particulates are filtered out, and over 85% of water is reused in primary washing cycles.
Rural Empowerment
Direct integration with over 450 regional smallholder coconut farmers in Pollachi provides stable off-season revenue and safe, ethically monitored manufacturing employment.
Full Tree Utilization Blueprint
Every part of the raw coconut delivers purposeful industrial output: Coconut water and copra for nutrition, long bristle fibre for erosion control geotextiles, and spongy coir pith for premium growing media. Nothing enters landfills.
Husk Decortication
Physical separation of structural fibre from spongy cellular coir dust.
Solar Apron Drying
100% fossil-fuel-free natural solar radiation curing on concrete.
Return to Soil
After 3+ greenhouse crop years, spent coir enriches field soil as organic compost.
